Loft for an Art Collector, Hong Kong, HKSAR
The Art Collector’s Loft is located within an industrial building in the Wong Chuk Hang neighborhood of Hong Kong. The space functions as an art gallery and storage for the client’s private art collection, as well as providing spaces for work and rest.
New display walls were added to the space to divide the open plan into different zones, ranging from the most public to most private programs. The new walls provide a blank canvas for displaying the client’s art collection.
The new display walls are organized in a way where physical and visual connectivity are maintained between the different zones while still providing a sense of privacy.
A kitchenette and bar table was added to provide a space to eat and socialize, as well as functioning as an open workspace on a daily basis.
